Revolutions in biotechnology, extraordinary breakthroughs in molecular biology, great advances in genomics — suddenly, we are finding an unprecedented number of new targets and potential new ways to alleviate human disease. |
CEPT is the culmination of more than a decade of pioneering work in training clinical scientists, advancing international medical education, and developing new therapies. As part of the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology, CEPT is particularly well suited to expand on these contributions. It comprises four interdependent divisions, each organized around an objective that is essential for achieving the great promise of medical research: Public Policy, Education, Research, Global Partnerships.
CEPT’s objective is rooted in its ability to build collaborations among MIT and Harvard scientists, engineers, ethicists, economists and others, and to launch research and education partnerships with leading scholars and practitioners in this country and abroad. With this foundation, we are well prepared to take advantage of extraordinary opportunities to advance clinical care.
