Founded in the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology, our Clinical Investigator Training Program (CITP) has trained to date 100 young physicians, more than 80 percent of whom now lead independent research programs around the world.

Instructors in many parts of the world now use CITP teaching materials to train physicians and investigators. Another CITP outgrowth, our web-based Good Clinical Practice course, has been translated into Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. Students use it throughout Latin America, and it serves as the clinical research certification program for the Food and Drug Administration of the People’s Republic of China. Through distance education, we have given physicians and clinical researchers all over the world free access to significant therapeutic advances. With more than a decade of experience, CEPT can now apply what we’ve learned about clinical education on a much broader scale.
